Hey guys, I was wondering what you were all planning on bringing with you when we start in the fall. So far I'm bringing a laptop, nice pair of headphones, a big white board, a calendar for my wall, and a coffeemaker, with all the necessary furniture of course.

Anyone have any other things they think are important to bring?

Hey, they have been numerous threads like these over the years and they all get a bit repetitive so I suggest you use the search function but a breif summery is

Crock pot/pressure cooker/rice steamer (with a cook book with plenty of easy recipes) - I love cooking so I will skip this, I do have a pressure cooker for tough meats

Comfy chair - I got a used herman miller chair and my back problems have been almost nonexistent wile sitting.

Nice head phones- You will get differing options on this especially from the audiophiles. I got a nice bose quiet comfort wireless headphones because I will be studying at home mostly and dont care much about sound quality. I bet you will get alot of people on here with their own options on this matter just choose one and stick with it

Laptop/tablet with note taking ability - I bought a old acer from ebay to use while in medical school and wont look into a tablet until rotations sin e alot can change then . I normally will be studying at home so dont care for a stylus or note taking software

Business casual clothing - I have a obsession with classical gentleman's wear and have amassed a bunch of used high quality business/business causal clothing online

Your choice of getting caffeinated - getting a french press from recommendation from users on here but this is similar to the headphones in that you will get alot of differing opinions

Professional bag - I have a old school suitcase that I got off ebay, but a messenger bag or professional tote for females . I would go for something leather so it can swing for both professional or casual

Second monitor - this especially if u plan to study at home, watching lectures on a small screen can be annoying after a while . I might just bring my entire desktop with me to supplement my laptop

The rest are obvious (good quality desk and furniture -try to get from estate sales), good quality lamp etc..

The Big one that doesnt get talked about alot is buy yourself some financial, loans and wealth management books, you will be going into a field were u make a high income which makes you a target for leeches that want to take advantage of your lack of financial knowledge. Know the game and how to manage your finances
