So my DAT is in 5 days and I've completed almost everything on BC. My sciences scores are pretty inconsistent…has anyone else experienced this? My scores are as follows:

Bio 23, 23, 24, 19, 22
GC --, 21, 26, 19, 19
OC 17, 20, 18, 24, 18

I'm trying to figure out where I need to focus my energies and though I've identified specific things from each section that I want to work on, these scores definitely have me confused.

It's always random and the DAT could turn out that way also, but the AVG of your scores should roughly be what you expect based on your scores.

I expected higher in chem and lower in biology, but the scores were reversed, although my actual AA was what I expected.

My thought is that Ari and bootcamp try and teach you through problems and therefore the content of each test varies. Instead of just being random, I bet each test focuses more on specific topics. For example, one test may be heavy in reactions with no lab or NMR while another one may be heavy in lab with no reactions. Therefore, the average of all of your section scores should give you a decent representation of where you're at, but will probably be a bit lower than what you could expect on the real dat provided that you learned from all your mistakes. Just a theory. Could be wrong. Hope I'm right 😉. My scores for bootcamp so far are fairly consistent.

Oh god that last gen chem test was so hard but I somehow pulled out a 19

was it comparable to destroyers?
Yeah some questions felt like they were pulled out of destroyer on that exam. There was 1 question about molecular orbitals or something involving paramagnetism with N2 I think? There were a lot more other questions that gave me a headache but this was the only one I remember.

Anyway, I think the last exam for each bootcamp section is made to be the hardest so I am not surprised it was difficult.

@jwan14 - I think you're right. I remember one of the Bio tests had an insane amount of genetics, but there was hardly any on the other tests. I think another potential reason might be my confidence during each test. If I struggle on any of the first few questions, I start panicking and that carries through for the rest of the section. Hopefully it's something I can iron out before Monday.

I totally feel you on the panicking part if you don't know the first few. What I do, and it seems to help, is close my eyes and hold my breath for 5-10 seconds. Might sound stupid but it calms me down a little. I do it all the time during the PAT.
