Seems like everyone is getting killer DAT scores. Im very happy for you guys, but is anyone else a little discouraged? It doesnt seem like I have much of a shot to compete against the top flight people here.

A lot of followers on this site achieve very high scores. They are really dedicated students. I myself was discouraged at first as well, but those students are a GREAT resource for tips, and answers to troublesome questions that could pop up on the DAT. The scores are certainly above average, so do not worry about "matching" these extremely high scores. Simply aim to score the highest you possibly can, that is all you can do. With hard work and dedication, it is possible for you to also score very high. Also remember where you are in your studies. If you are just beginning, then it can be intimidating. I have taken the exam once before, so if you have any questions you're more than welcome to PM me with them.

I never looked at this website during my DAT studies for that reason. Everyone who posts their scores here are obviously proud of themselves, and people who usually get great to average scores usually wont. Realize that the DAT avg is like what 17-18? so if you dont get that 21-22 it doesnt mean you wont get in. Same with predents, you'll see a lot more people who did well post their scores than people who didnt do as well. When I studied I had a problem where I worried about my friends scores and it stressed me out beyond belief. Just worry about yourself and I guarantee you that you'll do be ok!

haha i just started getting worried for a sec when I saw all these 23s, 25s and 27s. But you guys are right, I'm going to stay off thise board (except for confusing questions), and turn up the studying. I pushed the DAT back and now have 4 weeks to study. I took a leave from work so I can put in about pretty much a full days work every day until the DAT. Already finished Kaplan and scored a 19 on their final practice DAT. For the rest of the month Ill work through CrackDAT PAT and Math, Dat Destroyer, Math Destroyer, Topscore, and Achiever. Let's hope this works out. Thanks a lot guys!

Im just making a guess here, but people who usually spend time away from parties and pretty girls (or boys) just so they can spend a few hours a week on websites (like SDN) to get advice about thier futures are the ones who care the most.

My formula is like this:

People who care the most = the ones who try the hardest = the ones who tend to rock the national exams (example DAT).

But trust me, out of every 1000 people who take the DAT, only like 10 or 15 of them get a score above 24.

A good competitive solid average for the DAT is approx 19, top it off with a 3.5-3.6 overall and science GPA and you my friend are a future acceptancee (I don't think this is a real word) to some dental school in the nation

I think it is encouraging when you see how others are trying very hard to get high scores. Maybe that's just me🙂
