How did you study each day for bio..did u make outlines or just read through the chapter? if you could e-mail me i'd really appreciate it ...or u could just post it here,either way... Thanks

"chuteboxe84" if IndDent emails u the answer to ur question, could u update this post because that info could help me out, too

Hey guys,
sorry it took me a while to get back to you all, sometimes sdn website timesout, and I get frustrated. I disabled private messaging because some idiot kept sending me spam.

In regards to your question, I read through each chapter of Schaum's bio like it was a novel. Then as I went through, I would underline in pencil the key facts and anything that I had forgotten from my college courses. I did this for about 3 chapters at a time, then went back and memorized everything. Then did the same thing for the next 3 chapters. By the time I got to the end, I had a good grasp of everything I had underlined. Then began chemistry, but each day I would review 3-5 bio chapters again, go till the end of the book during the week, and repeat. Did that for 2 months, most of the time I spent on g-chem and orgo.

Hope that helps,
Take it easy,

I'm a guy...but for 3 easy payments of $29.99 and if you act within the next 5 minutes, I'll throw in my old DAT books, I'll be anything anyone on SDN wants me to be.

Kidding, your welcome man.

How much classification did u see on the bio exam {i plan on reviewing everything for BIO, but i'll only skim through the Classification part}

Babbersher,
I had a few classifications on my exam, in all 3 for sure, maybe 4. They ranged from easy to difficult, mostly they were checking to see if you knew real differences between groups such as annelidia, mollusca, and arthropoda. Annelidia of course is ringed, segmented, has nephridial system for excretion of wastes- includes leeches, earthworm.

Other questions touched on acoelmates and pseudocolemates. Differences between protostome cleavage and deuterstome cleavage patterns.

Basically, don't just look over it, maybe take a day to read and outline the differences. Schaum's is good for this. I have my old outline...it is very detailed. At first it took me 3-4 hours to memorize and get everything down. Then in between studying for other sections, I would come back to my classification outline and spit everything out within 15-20minutes, and eventually got better than that.
