indiana 16 limit

Hi guys.

So, how is it possible that no one can have less then a 16 in any section of the DAT to get an interview at Indiana, but if you look at predents there are people in the past cycle that got in with lower than a 16??? Whats up with that?😕

probably they have something noticeable.

However, it should be difficult for them to show off their underhood!

1) Need clear explanation & responsibility on that score
2) Compensate the weakness with something special!!

Kinda confused ont he underhood thing, but I feel like I have special things for them to consider... Everyone probably thinks that about themselves though🙂... I only scored bad in one area so at least that wont be as hard if I do end up retaking....It just sucks!

that's just a general guideline.

You can still get accepted with a lower score than 16 on one or two sections. As long as they see the potential in your other stats.

Did they tell you to retake the DAT?

Tell us what your stats so we know what's going on.

Yeh. They sent me that email asking me to retake the DAT. It is because I got a really low score in math, but did great in everything else.

I have a 3.6 GPA and lots of life/dental experience.

I guess I cant blame them, but was hoping they could look past that since I the rest of my app is strong... Just took my DAT beginning of sept so to retake would be really late in the game. Probably have to try again next year with them if I do not get in anywhere else...

HOLY CRAP! I just realized that you have a 15 in reading and they still interviewed you?? They also said in my email that everyone had to have at least and 18 in reading to be interviewed there, I did really well in reading, but they still mentioned that.

Oh man they REALLY must not like me

Oh well, They know what they want.. Good luck I hope you get in, I guess they must put more emphasis on math then reading there? Who knows?

If you have the grades (QR aside) and experience to back it up, perhaps you did not come off very well in your essay.

that's my retake score. I was invited for an interview with my old DAT score, where I didn't have anything lower than a 17. My reading dropped 3 points from the 1st dat.

What are great scores? If you got 22s and 23s in all of the other sections except the QR, then I think you should be fine with any other school.

Then again, like you said, it could be anything.

Oh, well that makes me feel better that you had better scores the second time because I felt like they were lying to me... I wish you the best although I am sure you will get in somewhere with your stats! Thanks Guys!
