I got the acceptance letter today...was everyone here given provisional acceptance? The letter states that I need to complete the courses that I listed on my application...the problem is that I've already completed those courses. I'm taking a few classes now but they are not listed on my application...so I'm just wondering if my grades in these classes matter or not.

I still havent' received the letter. I got the email and phone call however.... Does the letter say anything about what kind of GPA you need to keep?

got the letter, provisional. Imagine everyone is unless they completed all their coursework, didn't list anymore courses they were planning on taking, and graduated before submitting their application. Even if your courses for the Fall aren't requirements they probably want to see your grades. Not sure about them missing your already-fulfilled requirements. Probably just give them a call.

the acceptances are provisional.

we'll have to send a final transcript in May that shows all class work we've completed.

you need to get like B- or above to keep your spot.

I'm in a one year masters program. I didnt put it on my app because I was planning on taking classes the first semester and working the second semester if I got into dental school (which I did). I just wanted to know if I have to stick with the program or not. I emalied Dr. Kasberg today but he's out of town so I'll be giving him a call sometime next week.

@ Lopyswine: Are you sure? B- seems a little low...

I got that same 'provisional' letter and I already completed all the coursework before spring 2007.

Congratulations to everyone!

I sent in my deposit via regular mail Dec 21st. I sure hope it gets there. Should have used priority.... hmmm...

Congrats everyone!
I think as long as you didn't mention your Springs semester courses on AADSAS, dental schools can't tell you to complete your degree. If you did mention what you were planning on taking in the Spring semester, then dental schools obviously looked at those courses during the evaluation process. If this is the case, it's probably safe to contact each school and see if they require you to complete the listed courses 😀🙂😎
