I had my Indiana interview a little while back and just got an invitation for a second visit. It will be in February, so who knows what situation I will be in then. Apparently, they pay for everything which is nice, but they are not accepting me yet (I am "top candidate"). So, I am wondering what this all means. Am I practically accepted and they just want to see if I am interested still?

hey, u mind if u post ur stats (or range at least)? please.......

I posted my numbers before and I don't know how this is relevant, but my MCAT is about average for top MSTPs and my GPA is above average.

Hmm, there is such thing as a revisit weekend for those applicants already accepted, where the school tries to woo the applicants to come to their school...
Given how early this second visit is, and the fact that you do not have an acceptance in hand, they may be wishing to take another look at you (you know, make sure you are a good fit for the program, evaluate your commitment, etc). Unless you get an acceptance from them between now and February, treat this as a second interview. If something was less-than-stellar in your first interview, basically, this is your chance to make it stellar.

There's only a few programs that do this. For some reason many programs really want to keep their accepted:matriculated ratio as low as possible. This is the extreme game of gauging enthusiasm before extending an acceptance. In other words, they want to bring you back and make sure you sound like you'll definitely attend if they accept you. Of course you still have to be on your best behavior not to blow it if you do wish to attend.

I am gonna go ahead and treat this as an interview. Thanks for the advice.

I was invited to Indiana's MSTP second visit when I applied. You do have an "exit interview." For some reason, I was not scheduled for one. I didn't get accepted because they filled up their class with their first round of acceptances.
