What are the pros and cons of these dental schools?

I am deciding which of the three dental school I should attend.

How's cost of living in the area? Location of school? Board pass rate? Structure of program?
Tuition?

I am an Indiana resident and have investigated the cost of living in Indy extensively. Indy is very affordable. I am a non-traditional and have a family and own my own house, there are some very nice affordable homes within 10-15 minutes of school with great shopping. I know there is some nice spots close to campus if you don't have a family to worry about. Indy has some rough spots but they are easy to avoid via common sence. I am sure USC has high cost of living as well as BU. With that said you get what you pay for, as far as culture goes you can't go wrong with either coast. There are fun things to do in Indy. You are lucky to have so many choice. Good Luck..

USC will probably be last on my list as it's in LA, LA traffic is horrible, the tuition at USC is high as heck and its location is in a bad neighborhood. My friend attended USC as an undergraduate, and said that some of the instructors, even at the dental school aren't friendly. So, I already called USC this morning and told them that I would like to withdraw my application. The lady at the other end of the line (Eva) seemed like a rude person. Oh well, LA people in general. 😛

It's now a draw between Indiana and Boston Univ. Boston's cost of living is expensive. I may choose Indiana as the people/locals were nice to me (knowing that I'm a minority), and the students and faculties at IU were happy. Some of them disliked the PBL portion of IU's curriculum, but heck, the new board exam coming up will be PBL-based. My research mentor also told me that rent is cheaper in Indianapolis as opposed to LA, NYC, Bay Area, etc.

Oh well, thanks for the advice. I am just waiting for these schools to send me the paper work.

Some of the instructors at ALL schools are going to be unfriendly.....lol

and eva is actually very nice

but yes, USC is in a bad neighborhood, it is very expensive, and there is a TON of traffic in LA. I live in Glendale, it takes me about 40 mins with traffic to get to school. My roommates and I are paying a total of $1875 for a three bedroom, 2.5 bath townhouse here, so yeah cost of living is higher in most of california. But i love Cali and I like the school. =)

EDIT: oops guess you withdrew app already. good luck with the other schools! =)
