What causes hematuria in a case of infective endocarditis?
Both GN caused by type III hypersensitivity reaction and renal infarction caused by septic embolization can cause hematuria but what clue can suggest one than the other

With septic emboli, often on imaging you will see wedge shaped renal infarcts. With Type III hypersensitivity if I can remember back into the day, your circulating complement levels are going to be low
