Since no one is biting, I'll share a few high/lowlights.

You can start with this: http://opportunities.osteopathic.or...program_id=129229&hosp_id=119075&returnPage=1

I don't know all the ins and outs of the program, but they do have some nice affiliations/out rotations for residents such as sloan kettering and cornell, I believe. They also get hands on experience pretty early. They also seem to keep fairly busy in terms of case load in the OR. Also the pay is pretty impressive. The neighborhood in which Wyckoff is located is very sketchy, however. If you drive, expect to pay for parking.

In terms of doing a rotation - there are a TON of students there, mostly caribbean. I mean, there are swarms of them, so you end up stepping on toes if you want to scrub on >2 surgeries a day as a student... And because of the sheer number of students, folks in the OR can be pretty student unfriendly, but it is what it is. There are daily sign ins which is pretty juvenile, but I think it's the only way that they can attempt to keep track of students. In terms of education, there are daily lectures but learning in the OR and with residents/attendings appears to be dependent on how aggressive and assertive you are.

If you have any specific questions pm me and I'll try to answer what I can. Good luck.

I didn't do surgery there but gas, so I was in the OR alot. Speaking to the students on rotation with me who did do surgery there I think it was like how RTC said. Usually 40+ students, mainly imgs, not sure how much hands on experince they get. The hospital in general is overrun with students. Alot of foreign attendings. Had alot cases nothing to amazing just regular gen surg. Overall being in OR wasn't bad , but I did surgery at a malignant DO program and in comprasion the residents at Wyckof were happier.

I parked on the street everyday, atmost I would walk 3 blocks to get to hospital. Park on queens side and u'll be fine.
