Does anyone know anything about the Audiolearn series for DAT prep? I searched the forum, but I can’t seem to find a definitive answer. There are only 1 or 2 wishy-washy posts…

I want to take the test before fall and I would like to listen to the CDs in my car and at home to at least start repeating some of the basics before I treat studying like a full time job over the summer.

The download is only $50 online, but I want to know if it’s even worth that.

.Thanks.

in my personal experience (note that this is a personal opinion) the Audiobooks or any Aural studying for that matter is catered mainly for those who lack the discipline to sit down and actually read through the material. ironically, while listening to such recordings, I tend to get bored so i do other things with it on in the background. i think most people end up doing that as well. But in order to get the full use or any use in my opinion out of them you have to treat them just the same as studying old school style. yes certain topics might be better learned through audio but the best studying and most worth studying is just sitting down in a nice study conducive environment and read/take notes. for me it seems that visual learning is far more useful than audio, and actually writing things out and taking notes further cements the material. personally i think the 50$ would be better spent on a good test prep book or one of those books with bunch of practice exams

I totally agree with you. I want to use it as a supplement, and not a primary means of studying. Kind of at night before bed or in the car.

Thanks for you input!

I'd only use these audio materials during otherwise wasted time, like during a commute.

Also, if someone were to hypothetically download bit torrent, and then search for "mcat", they'd find audio osmosis. Hypothetically.

hehe.. It's funny that you say that.

I am hypothetically seeding for anyone who wants to download the 720MB set. Hypothetically.
