I'm an M3 and interested in neonatology. Can anyone give me some info on this field:
-what is lifestyle like? hours per week, call schedule, flexibility?
-what is ths job demand? is it restricted to certain areas, hospitals, communities or could you practice anywhere?
-average starting salary and after several years into job?
-what peds residency programs are good if you want to go into it? how competitive is it to get into an neonatology fellowship?
-is research necessary?
-any info about what neonatologist day to day work is like
