Info On Personal Statement?

Like info in this forum? Just type personal statment in the search. I'd also try looking for "PS."
If you mean on VMCAS...I have no idea. If you mean for a particular school check out their website or call them for help/ideas.
Thanks Horseyvet. What I meant was information on how long the personal statement is and what we should include in it. Isn't it part of the VMCAS application, or am I all confused? (I have yet to find it on VMCAS). Is it an extra requirement based on the school?

If I recall (which I feel like I don't) there was a personal statement section in VMCAS...but I applied to several schools that had "their own" personsal statement (a specific/different prompt) that needed to be with their supplemental and/or entirely different application. I'd make sure to get looking at that b/c depending on how different the prompt is you might need to write several statements if you are applying to a lot of schools.
The VMCAS personal statement is tucked at the end of the "background information" section. The info there tells you the character limit, which off the top of my head I think is 4,000 characters, or maybe it's 6,000. In the "school designation" page there are asterisks next to the schools that require supplemental essays/applications. If any of the places you're applying require something extra, you can probably get the relevant forms from those schools' websites. (There's also a way to get to a list within the VMCAS website that has links directly to the schools' pages for downloading supplemental applications, but I don't remember off the top of my head how to find it.) Note also that some schools, while they don't have a *required* supplemental application, do have some optional things like essays for "career diversity" if you intend to go into something like poultry or research where they perceive a particular shortage, so it could be to your advantage to check for supplemental stuff at every school you apply to even if they're listed as not requiring anything.
