Hey Guys,
I had a question to those who have taken upper division science classes at a cal state in hopes of receiving good grades to show to dental schools you can handle their tough curriculum. How did you guys fund for taking classes at cal state? i am stressing out how I can't apply for loans because private loan companies only approve of loans when schools certify that I am enrolled, however if I am taking classes as an open university student I am not considered a student. Please help.....

Take classes at a community college? They're much cheaper. That's what I did for a year to raise my GPA (after I graduated from Berkeley) and I got into 3 schools so far.

Same here. I didn't try getting a loan for the open university, but paying expensive tuition I was very stressed out. BTW, would consider open university as informal?
Actually, there is one question in my secondary application asking about formal post bacc program I was enrolled. I thought open university is formal since we have our transcript at least, not degree though.

Formal postbacs usually end up giving you certificate (if you complete their requirement) and they are structured, meaning they have a set courses that they want you to take. Open university is informal postbac.

ic. good to know. thanks a lot. at least I can answer one question correctly.^^
