I recently did a selective week in urology (essentially a 1 week mini-rotation in my second year). I loved the field and am newly interested in it.

I decided to take a look at the NRMP match stats for urology....and they do not seem to exist? What's up with this? The NRMP and all of the other documents and sites I found for things like average step scores and PD selection criteria do not list urology. Does anyone know where I can aquire this info? I'll probably make a meeting with my home PD regardless, but I feel that going in totally ignorant would look bad.

Does this mean one can apply to both urology and general surgery? Is that commonly done?

Yes you can. Some people will do this, especially since Urology has an early match. Only downside is having to get two sets of LORs.

Check out the website urologymatch via google. Also pm me if you’d like a link to a spreadsheet with lots of self reported data from those who interviewed and matched last year
