Do patients need to be told you're enrolling them in a retroactive chart study? One of the review questions I just had says yes.

BUT... I'm reasonably sure my IBR training said no, so long as it's de-identified.

You mean retroSPECTIVE 😉 . No, if it's truly retrospective. If you're collecting any prospective data in addition, then yes.
