If surgeon is operating on someone and incidentally sees something else that may be malignant but could just be benign tumor (but not emergency): Do they have to finish current procedure and close up before they can even take a biopsy? Not excision but just biopsy?
According to what I've read, I think that they would have to get consent even for a biopsy but I wanted to see what you guys say.
