I don't have any specific dates, but I used to be in the loop with Infosource (the ADEA allowed my undergrad pre-dental club to test it for free and get reduced or free AADSAS applications as well).

There isn't any information to post until school's start giving out interviews, and that can't happen until AADSAS sends out the first batch. I guess it was scheduled to go out on 6/1, but I don't know if that happened.

I'd say September/October is probably the earliest that it will have any information, and even then the info is sketchy depending on how often the school updates the information.

I wouldn't get too excited about infosource "going live." In my expierence, most schools don't even use it. When they do update it is it most likely with information you already have because the school has sent you an E-mail or snail mail already.

I totally agree !! Of the many schools I applied to, half of them still says "N/A" ... so much of going live...

I checked my application status last year by calling AADSAS directly. I think this is the number I called...I just pulled it from adea.org. There's probably a 5-10 min wait to get through, but I think it's worth it to get the latest info.

The Customer Service Representatives are available Monday ? Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (eastern time), except federal holidays.

has anyone ever emailed that address and gotten info on their application status? i know this sounds funny, but i am not a big fan of phone calls and would rather just email if i had the choice.
 
I always get one of those "Mail Returned/Daemon error" from that address. I would recommend calling, even though customer service is quite rude and unhelpful.

PS-What exactly does daemon mean?
 
infosource is so damn slow.
why why why?

some schools haven't even updated since october...what's the REAL point of having infosource...it's really not much help at all. i get snailmail faster than infosource updates.

even when it does update...i still see "N/A" under status, when schools have told me i'm "under review"...well why doesn't it just say "UNDER REVIEW" on infosource.

😡 😱 😱 😱 😡

it's snowing and it's dark.
i don't want to go outside. but food supplies are diminishing :scared:

haha i know it's so damn useless..yet im still compelled to check it everyday..sometimes even multiple times a day

i've been checking infosource at least once a day lately, regardless of the fact that all but one of my schools do not participate with infosource and i have already been notified that i am on hold at the one that does. completely useless 😀
 
i've lost much faith in infosource...after 2 months of NOTHING USEFUL being updated and checking 10 times a day, now i've gone down to 2. once in the morning, and once in the evening.

and in addtion...here's my lil rant - directed to infosource:

R U EFFIN KIDDIN ME INFOSOURCE? MY LAST LOR HAS BEEN RECEIVED BY U OVER 20 DAYS AGO, AND U STILL HAVEN'T SENT IT OUT?! 😡
 
are we all nutz or something? why do we keep checking on a service that does work. i am not saying i don't do it but why do we keep doing it!?!??!?!?!?!??!? there must be something in the pre-dent gene

hah! so true. i have already checked infosource 5 times today and i'll probably check it 5 more times before i go to bed. even though it has said precisely the same thing since 5 weeks ago...ahhh. the obsessive compulsiveness gets the best of us.

Umm, InfoSource doesn't send out any LORs. They don't send out anything. InfoSource is just a database, that is updated by the dental SCHOOLS that allows applicants to view information.

If it isn't updated then you need to cry to the schools you applied to, not to InfoSource. Also keep in mind that not all schools have signed-up to access InfoSource, so if your status says "N/A," then that school probably doesn't participate and your status won't ever change.

Yes, i know infosource isn't AADSAS...but i figure ppl didn't really care what i called it. i'm just ranting on both systems in general, and meshed it into one. i'm sure not many ppl were confused about that!

i have contacted schools, and they are much more helpful than infosource (i seriously don't even know why i still bother checking it).

i know not all schools use infosource, but for e.g. upitt does, they updated last week, but MY STATUS is still "N/A", i mean it could at least be "denied" or "under review"...but no...it's "n/a"
 
apparently, UW is an infosource school now. All of a sudden it says "Invited for Interview" and last updated "12/09/04" Interesting... I wonder if I'll hear from them soon.

Tufts still still says "Invited for Interview" for me though.

Yeah, you're right. UW is an infosource school now. Mine says "intvited for interview" as well. I just interviewed there yesterday. Hopefully we'll both hear soon. They said the ADCOM meets on Thursdays to make decisions.

fruity_trident i would call pitt. mine has been saying N/A for the last 1.5 months. and i finally called last week to tell them whats wrong and they said that my dat scores weren't in (even though i kept tleling them that its under a different name).

anyways now i am under "under review"

acutually it changed today to UNDER REVIEW
i emailed them about it last week...but rose just re-emailed me the confirmation email 🙄

do u think i shoudl still call?

what the heck nothing updated for me..the dates are from over 6 weeks ago and Tufts still says N/A..what a bunch of crap

it's tuesday today. 😀. i thought it was sunday for a bit..and i was happy..but then realized it's actually tuesday night and that i have an exam tomorrow morning 😱 & one thurs afternoon 😱 ..
but then it's NYC after that..yay! :clap: 😀

does infosource update on days other than mondays and fridays? Cuz if it doesn't, i must stop the incessant checking, otherwise i'm gonna go nuts 🙁 👎
