Anyone a solo practitioner giving injections? How do you do it? Do you personally give the injection? Do you have you patient go somewhere else to get the injection? Do you refer them to a community mental health center? A PCP's office?

I have done this. Just get some alcohol pads and a sharps container. Not really all that hard.

I did them as an MS3 on my psych rotation. I don't really see why you would need to refer someone out to get an injection.

Thank you. I just wanted to see what other people were doing.

Other offices I have worked in had multiple docs, thousands of pateints, and "injection clinics." I didn't know if people usually referred out to one of these "clinics" or did the injections themselves. I guess that it isn't that hard. I just need to normalize it for myself.
