In addition to CL/ER I’d guess IOP, PHP or residential maybe as well? Maybe addictions/detox/crisis? Although where I’m at those are all typically managed by NPs…It's unclear what you're looking for, exactly. I don't see how jail or telehealth work are substantively different from the sort of activities I'd file under "stuff you do outpatient and/or inpatient" aside from the patient population/location. You mostly want CL/ED/PES work?
Correct. Aside from conclusion is also accurate. It's unclear what you're looking for, exactly. Kaiser's going to pay you market rates, unlike academic centers. Even if they don't have something posted explicitly for CL/ED, you could always apply for another position just to get the ball rolling with an internal recruiter. Otherwise I'd recommend calling any applicable academic centers or hospital networks. Are you fellowship trained CL?Correct. Aside from conclusion is also accurate.
What do you suggest?
This is the impression I have with Kaiser. I thought to do the same. A lot of OP jobs advertised, but might carve something out if lucky (will likely have an OP component though). I’m fellowship trained in a CL subspecialty.Kaiser's going to pay you market rates, unlike academic centers. It depends on how you define inland. Palm Springs is one of the warmest areas of the continental US in the Jan/Feb range and has wonderful hiking. I certainly wouldn't spend my summers there, but if you did, there are a lot of pools. It has a pretty walkable main strip with a few good restaurants and a thriving LQBT community. Some folks assure me Sacramento is a bit on the up and up, but I cannot confirm that with any personal experience. At the very least you can drive to Napa Valley in an hour if you are making extra bank for living in Sacramento 😆.My understanding is there is nothing desirable about inland california unless you are a meth user.
Palm springs is definitely fun for a long weekend, or longer if you golf. I have family there. Sacramento is a Midwest city in California....would not recommend as a place to live. But then again I'm a coastal elite snob so take this with a grain of salt.It depends on how you define inland.
