Hey guys,

I'm sure this has been answered some where in the SDN archives, but I did a search and can't seem to find it.

I go to a school that gives out grades on a 0-4.0 scale. The school does have a letter grade conversion chart, and I plan on using that. But, a 4.0 is considered to be an A. There are no A+'s given at my school. How should I input this into AADSAS? To be honest, I think it's a little unfair for my AADSAS grade to be lower than those who went to schools that gave out A+'s when I'm sure they're near or are equivalent scores.

:/ Thanks for any help!

So does that mean I should just input it as an A?

My school is also kind enough to give out every +/- grade EXCEPT for A+'s. This is unfair.

Whats funny is that I have equal number of A-'s and A+'s. So when AADSAS calculates both types of gpa, they'll be roughly the same for me 😀

My school also does not give A+ grades, and I would have one in literally almost every single class I've taken. It's unfortunate, but I think they are probably aware that not every school gives them.

No A+'s here, but we don't even use a +/- system 😛

So I take it that everyone without the A+'s put in just A's?

:/ darn you, aadsas scale...

I wish our school did not have A+ actually.

The competition gets crazyyyyyy

and I mean every single person aiming for 100/100 on tests for some classes.

There are people who are accepted with GPAs of over a 4.0. I'd like to have the same opportunity. It's not a fair situation to a lot of us, as I'd assume a lot of pre-dents are very successful in their classes.

I don't have much of a reason to brag on here. You are all a group of strangers. Something tells me that if you were in my situation, though, you'd also be a bit miffed. I work my butt off. I'm one of those "crazy" people who aims for a 100 on every test. Not to compete with others, but to perform to the best of my abilities. I'd be doing myself a disservice otherwise.

People talk about their stats on here all the time. I can't speak honestly, though, because mine are above average? An interesting standard.

I believe they were joking. Either way, you can laugh when you're personally flown in for your harvard interview 😎. Or, you know, when every school wants you.

I didn't say you did not work your butt off, you clearly did with your GPA.

However, aiming for A+ in some colleges, including mine, can be above that level.

Everyone work their butt off because they were all gunners from high schools
and there are, I would say less than 10 seats for an A+ among 300~500 students.

I didn't take that comment about you getting A+ in every class personally, but please be aware that you might be looking down on others' efforts in trying yet failing to get an A+ in their college.

In short, you have a great GPA and DAT, so why care about A+!?
Be happy 😀

My school gives A+ if you get over 97% but i doesn't change your GPA. you would still get 4.0. It just looks nice to have A+s' on your transcript.

Glimmer91, your gpa is amazing. where'd you go for undergrad?

Yes, input an A as an A.

I don't see the point of your question at all. Obviously you input an A. You did not get an A+.
