just wondering if anyone knows what date the inservice is on for EM. from what i understand, it's the same date across the country, some time in feb?

What are you guys using to study?

I'll have 2 months between graduation and the time residency starts. I plan on using about 4 weeks for relaxation time/vacationing (here I come Africa!), but I was also planning on spending 2-3 hours per day studying to get a head start on residency.

Are you guys using Tintinalli or another text? What about any of the computer programs (like MedChallenger for EP's)?

Between graduation and beginning residency, spend the majority of your time studying the bottom of a margarita glass. I am joking and dead serious - this is YOUR FREE TIME that you will never see again. Nobody will expect you to have read Tintin on your first day.

Brother - recreate! Residency is a major lifestyle change.

That said, and for the purpose of perpetuating this thread, I have found Tintin much too heavy and MUCH to dorky looking to drag into Barnes & Noble to read. Plus, it has too many big words. I have been reading Carol Rivers text and using her flashcards - it is a better distillation of the necessary content, more portable, but no pictures.

Kinkos will cut Tintin into loose-leaf with 3-hole punch for less than $10, which you can then put into a binder chapter by chapter.

Are you kidding? I loved Tintin when I was a kid! He and Snowy always had just interesting adventures!
