Hi, I just wanted to know whether an institutional action would prevent me from getting in. Basically my situation is my friend let me use his credit card once and I forgot to remove his card from the app and subsequently when I used the app his card got charged and he wasnt sure who was using the card and he reported the issue to the school authorities and they discovered it was me and I didn't know I was using the card till then. It was determined he let me use the card the first time but I was still put on probation for using the card after because it was my responsibility to take his card off from my phone. I wanted to know how badly this probation would affect my chances of getting into a medical school. I will be a senior this year. Have a 513 mcat score, taken june 30th, 2017. Have a 3.8 cGPA and science GPA. Have lots of experiences (research, EMT, volunteering, TA, etc.) Please let me know!

Will this be on your record?

If so, you'll have the chance to explain. Own this, I think that you'll be OK.
its not on my transcript, however if my school is contacted about it then they said they will give the information regarding the situation. My advisor said probation made it seem serious even though it was just a minor infraction and that in the committee letter she will explain that it is in essence a minor infraction.

You'll be fine.
