I know this is normally a death sentence and not worth asking whether you should disclose or not (always disclose).

What about a case where you were cleared? I was involved in a case and found guilty. To which i appealed and in the appeal i was unanimously found innocent and so the charges cleared and records cleared. The only thing my university said they had was the letter saying i was found not guilty and they said its not shared with anyone. additionally if asked if i have any violations the university said they would say no because i technically dont.

but i hear that even if it doesnt go on your transcript people should still say? or is that in a case where you are found guilty but its not on your transcript.

If you were cleared of your IA, then you don't have an IA, and if there is any justice in this process, you should NOT have to disclose it. How could you be found guilty then unanimously cleared on appeal? Just further confuses me on the purpose of these seemingly kangaroo courts.

In the end, you proved that you were not guilty of the thing you were accused of and the institution took no action against you.
You don't have an IA. (whew!)
great thank you.

Phew. It was cleared years ago but now that i am applying now, I just wanted to make sure.

I do hear that med schools will ask schools if a student has anything on their record.

I dont have anything on my record but would med schools ask "has be been charged before?". because i have been charged, just found not guilty. it would stink to be sentenced for a charge i was found not guilty of.

Charges refer to criminal charges. You were accused of breaking school rules... not the same as being arrested and undergoing a criminal trial or plea bargain.
