Do you know any schools that have a problem with this? Which schools from your past experience or knowledge have additional essays or requirements for those who were subject to institutional action? Other than the paragraph on the primary AACOMAS of course.

They'll all have a problem with it. I don't think CCOM, Western, or ATSU asked about it, but I finished the secondaries a few days ago and have been doing other ones since then do I don't really remember.

Thanks.

Any other input? I know there will be a lot of explaining for many schools. That's not a problem for me. I just want to know the schools that would require me to go back and talk to my dean and get him to sign something...

I don't think we can say who will have a problem with it...it depends on your situation, how well you can explain it, and the schools policy, etc. Other than that, I agree with medPR that many schools have this included in their secondaries. Id look up good ways to explain this, as Ive heard its not a nail in your coffin by any means, depending on your situation

Thanks.

I haven't had any DO schools request a dean letter, but many MDs have already. (BU, MCW, Temple)

At our school, it wouldn't get in the way of your getting an interview, but depending upon what was the cause, it may very well get you rejected.

We view academic reasons for insitutional actions in a more favorable light than ethical ones, such as criminal acts or violations of student honor codes.
