I recently got accepted to BU (yay) and in a congratulatory gesture my employer (a dentist) has offered to pay for a set of instruments for my schooling. I agreed, then his next question "what do you need?" then it hit me i have no idea what i need for the fall. does anyone know? i emailed the school and lets just say they have been less than helpful.
thanks guys

Your employer might end up with buyer's remorse when he finds out the cost of "instruments" for DS1.

Look at your tuition or student loan breakdown. They'll probably have a price in there for instrument cost. For D1 it will be preclinical. Probably nothing you'll ever use in clinic.

Maybe he can just get you a good pair of loupes and/or a light.

Go with the loupes, the other stuff will be specified by the school and best to use their stuff. That way they autoclave and service them without you worrying about them getting lost or misplaced.

Yea, ask your employer to hook you up with some good loupes instead of instruments becuase its gonna cost him/her over 10 grand easy!

Lol, that is prolly because when he went to school it cost $1000...My dentist said it cost him like $800 to go to dental school for tuition and fees first year.
