Quick question about the non disposable otoscope pieces. How do you sterilize them? I am just curious with all the increased publicity and concern over hospital acquired infections how does one sterilize those tips that aren't disposable? Are this sterile covers one can get or is the solution just to buy disposable tips?

We drop them in an enzymatic cleaner for about 5 min, scrub them with a brush if there is anything left, pop them in the autoclave which takes 6 min, let them cool, and they're ready to go.

Mostly I use my disposable tips though for most situations.
