Hey all,
I have always loved astronomy and astrobiology (life on exoplanets) as well as medicine obviously. I will be entering medical school this fall, and was wondering if there is any way that I can integrate astrobiology into my medical school studies perhaps by taking electives in this field or some other way. Thanks,

I know Baylor has a tract that involves space medicine. Might as well look into it.

Discover aliens then learn how to operate on them. That's about your only option.

Damn! Just looked into it. Looks very cool but too bad I didn't apply to Baylor. I will keep Space Medicine in my mind tho

Feel free to look up USAF Aerospace Medicine at Brooks AFB in Texas, as well as the Astrobiology Institute with NASA, Johnson Space Center, and the Aerospace Medical Association.

If you're feeling particularly ambitious, it might be useful to contact some of the astrobiologists and flight surgeons employed or affiliated with any of the above. NASA also offers aerospace medicine clerkships to medical students.

That's cool. But, no. There are few (if any...in the world) opportunities to be involved with astrobiology in medicine. Can you be interested outside of medicine? Sure! But life on other planets isn't human medicine. Aerospace medicine, youbetcha.

I understand that there are most likely very few if any opportunities to integrate astrobiology in medicine. I am very interested in the aerospace medicine clerkship tho! Thanks guys for the replies!!
