This is a bit early but here's my brief situation.

I took a summer class at a home institution before I changed my name(just two letters of it) and my transcript there will reflect this name. Clearly my new name will be on my University Transcript. I'm guessing AMCAS is not going to be okay with any discrepancies so do I need to contact the summer institution and ask them for a transcript with my new name on it?

Not applying until June 🙂

If I remember correctly AMCAS asks you to list any prior names so you should be okay regardless.
