Hey everyone. I have a question about Interfolio and AACOMAS.

So last year, I completed the 2011 application but never sent it out due to some problems. So this year, I have finished my application again and sent out my transcripts. I printed the "transcript request" from the homepage of my 2012 app, and I did not notice that it printed my AACOMAS ID with 2011 on it, not 2012. That's the transcript request I gave to one of my schools. I tried to catch it before they sent it out but because I did a rush order, I didn't make it. So I called AACOMAS and asked if this would be credited to my 2012 app and not 2011. They said that as long as I have already started my 2012 one, it wouldn't be a problem.

A few days later, I receive an email from Interfolio saying that they received my transcript from the said school. But when I checked my 2012 AACOMAS app, it was not there, instead it was credited towards my 2011 app.

Does anyone know how I can fix this? Should I just call AACOMAS again?

Another question about Interfolio: I don't know how it happened but I seem to have 2 accounts with them under the same email address but different passwords. So I have my LOR's in one account, and my transcripts in another. Should I try fixing this? I haven't seen a problem (so far) so I'm not sure if it will cause me problems when I try sending out LOR's later on.

Thanks!

You can't send official transcripts from Interfolio anyways, so I wouldn't worry about that account. Its the LORs you will use Interfolio for.

Call AACOMAS... they are very helpful and I'm sure they can solve your issue.

The e-mail you got from Interfolio about your transcripts is confusing to many. It's simply an e-mail that means AACOMAS received your transcripts at their D.C. address. It doesn't mean you sent them to AACOMAS to be added to your Interfolio account. Worth noting is that the AACOMAS app is apparently built on an Interfolio foundation.

The e-mail address that notification goes to is the one that's associated with your AACOMAS ID. I would assume your AACOMAS ID ending in -2011 is null and void at this point.

To reiterate, my Interfolio account shows my LORs and also has a listing for my Fee Waiver Application and my Transcripts. However, I can't view the Fee Waiver Application or the Transcripts because it's really just a notification/record that they were received.

I would definitely talk with AACOMAS again to make sure they have your ducks in a row. As long as you have access to an Interfolio account with your LORs in it then you're fine on that front.

That's my understanding of this. Someone else may know more and correct me?
