Does AADSAS require that LORs be sent through interfolio? There was a recent change in my health committee's processes where they were going to send my LORs in my individual dossier to either AADSAS themselves or separate dental schools (I'm not sure yet and need to verify) and not use Interfolio. I'm wondering if LORs NEED to be sent through interfolio and if someone could please link me with either the steps and guidelines associated with using Interfolio.

You don't have to use interfolio. I didn't use it and it worked out fine for me.

No. Not required. It can be more convenient (stay on file and you can have letters submitted way in advance instead of after the application opens...in summer...when faculty disappears.

As for directly mailing to schools, that doesn't happen. So it would be directly to aadsas. If you're letters are already done, that route is fine.

...I have committe who can complete my lor by mid june. Is that too late and will my app be considered late?

No way. That's fine. Apps don't go out until late June anyway and hardly any schools check that early. So if your letters don't make it with your app (your app will go out without letters), they'll follow in the next batch.

Is your DAT done?

Dat not done but in mid may? Takes 4 weeks to get approved by aasdas right? Im not sure how to send in dat score. I checked schools I want to send when I was registering but can someone clarify?

You're good. When you start your app, your birth date and DENTPIN (I think) is what will tie your DAT scores to your app. The past couple of years, AADSAS didn't import scores until a couple weeks after the cycle opened. So it will look like they don't have scores. But don't worry. Eventually you'll just see a date received, unless they actually show scores now.

So your only job now is to destroy the DAT and then shop for suits. With letters and DAT done early, you're in good shape (assuming you don't have a felony or 2.5GPA...which is about the same thing).

Just to clarify, if I am getting a committee letter that is a composite of my individual letters, I only need to list the name of the committee letter's evaluator and not the names of the individual evaluators on AADSAS, correct? Therefore, my individual evaluators wouldn't get an email from AADSAS telling them to either submit their LOE electronically or via paper letter, but rather my health committee on campus would receive that email as their committee letter "package" contains my other recs as well?
