My LORs were sent by Interfolio to AADSAS on June 2nd, and AADSAS says they still haven't received them. Is anyone else having this problem??

My AADSAS rep seemed really confused about what Interfolio was..so hopefully everyone is in the same boat as me lol..

I am not sure what an Interfolio is.

For my letters I have requested, I did the e-submission (reference type was electronic). My general dentist uploaded his and called me to tell me to make sure it went through. I got on AADSAS and the status was "completed"

I dont know if this helps but the moral of the story is with my e-submission request, AADSAS showed it was complete within 10 minutes of him submitting it.

you might wanna call interfolio and see whats up....

I remember they sent mine in less than 1 weeks time. You did include each LOR matching forum right?

Yup, I did. My transcripts (2 from Canada, 1 from USA), and my 3 LORs from Interfolio haven't been received (all sent June 2nd), so I'm getting really worried/PO'd...do you think I should re-send? At this point, I'm already gonna miss the first mailout date 🙁.

Yup, I did. My transcripts (2 from Canada, 1 from USA), and my 3 LORs from Interfolio haven't been received (all sent June 2nd), so I'm getting really worried/PO'd...do you think I should re-send? At this point, I'm already gonna miss the first mailout date 🙁.

thats strange.... 3 sources (canada, USA, and interfolio) and nothing received yet? that doesn't sound like a mailing problem, it sounds like AADSAS needs to wake up.

well, it used to be AADSAS never stored anything from your previous cycle. So if you apply for the first time now (for example), and you don't get in, you get to apply again next year and simply have interfolio re-sent your letters (instead of you going around to each writer and requesting the letters again)

So it is smart to have an interfolio? Do most people do this?

I sent it June 2nd and received on june 9th. You should double check again. Did you upload the transcript forms correctly?

yes and no
before opening an interfolio account, you should check with your college first, many schools offer a similar service for free.

i sent mine through interfolio as well (on paper!) on june 2 and they have been received...probably best to call interfolio and aadsas?

I use Interfolio because it stores my LORs for 5 years. If I dont get in this cycle, I am just gonna collect my letters and choose the best ones for next cycle 🙂

yeah, my school has something called veCollect but you have to pay $20 or something 🙂

and my prehealth advisor has a very bad reputation. 🙁

I think it's a huge waste, but the benefits are that if you apply next year then they will have your letters. However, if you have a solid application and have a good chance of getting in, then it's just as easy to use the AADSAS process.

i used interfolio because it was convenient. My profs emailed my LoRs to the site, I had the site print and send everything in one pack to AADSAS, but i'm still waiting on them to be received. It was also the only option I had. I didn't want the chance that my prof sending a letter directly to AADSAS would get lost and I would have to ask them to send another. At 12$ for expedited shipment, it's not that bad. Plus it's only like 15$ or so a year.

main advantage is you collect your letters long before AADSAS opens. I was collecting mine about 1.5 years before applying. Soon as I finished a course I had a good relationship with the prof, I'd ask for a letter and had him upload it into AADSAS.

I am going to have Interfolio resend them on Monday..this time via overnight express for the low price of $48.00 (lol)...do you know if AADSAS will accept it if I order all my letters and matching forms in one mailing file (7 pages)? or do they have to be separate files (LOR and Matching form)

I was able to send 3 LoRs and 3 LoR matching forms for 12$ at once, then I sent one 1 LoR and 1 LoR matching form for 12$. I don't know if it matters. I only sent it this way because one of my writers lagged on me

Awesome! Was your stuff received/processed OK? That would definitely save me a lot of money. I wouldn't have to pay $48.00 for 3 separate letters lol..

I'm still waiting on AADSAS to process them, but as soon as I made the delivery, it was sent to AADSAS. Whether or not AADSAS gets them or confirms that they even have them, will probably take awhile, but I'll post it up when it happens. I sent the first delivery 6/3 and the second delivery 6/14

yes... they NEED to be together or AADSAS will open the mail, see a bunch of LORs without matching forms and throw a s***-fit

the same applies to each transcripts and its' matching form

OK awesome. The first time I ordered it all, I sent 3 separate files...each one had an LOR with its respective matching form..so I don't think that's why they still aren't there...but I'll definitely do that next time. Thanks.

OK good. It seems like we're in the same boat? I don't see why some people on here had theirs received in a week...ours haven't even been received after 2 business weeks. I called AADSAS and they said that they update the Date Received part regularly...so you might want to consider having them resent as well?

Not everyone used Interfolio as a service and I even expedited my shipment. We're also looking at traveling time to get from Interfolio to AADSAS, on top of processing, so if people submitted LoRs directly via mail, it might be faster.

Samesies. After Interfolio called AADSAS for me and recommended I re-send them...slash spending as*loads of extra money couriering it there. I'm willing to bet AADSAS and Interfolio are in it together: one pretends its not received, the other convinces you to have more crap resent.

I was thinking the same thing... Last year my app. wasn't complete till really late because AADSAS said they didn't receive the letters from Interfolio so I had to resend. This year... SAME FOCKING deal. I just resend mines again today. I think they have a contract to make our lives miserable.

I had one quick question guys... I submitted one LOR through interfolio (with matching form) and mailed it out with electronic delivery confirmation from interfolio on 7/28/11. That letter is still not showing up on my AADSAS and I still have to collect one more LOR from a professor and have him add it to interfolio and then go through this process again. Do I need to wait to submit my AADSAS until both letters have been confirmed by AADSAS or go ahead and submit my otherwise complete application? Basically, will AADSAS mail my app to schools w/out the LORS or and then send out my LOR once they get them or will they wait to bundle all of them together. Thanks.
