okay, so screw TMDSAS. I'll be applying to schools through AADSAS; I have my letters ready in interfolio and everything.

Do I need to call them and ask them where I want to send them?

I'm looking at all the listed letters on Interfolio "Ready" to be sent out to AADSAS, but I'm not sure what to do next...the instructions don't really have either.

Can someone help me out?

I guess my question is when do the Matching Forms come out?

And where do I update the Matching Forms on interfolio?

I'm assuming the Matching Forms are accessible June 3rd when AADSAS opens? I'm very hazy on this subject especially when it comes to Interfolio. What's the advantage of using it?

To me, it seems like a major hassle because: 1) all LORs must be submitted by snail mail 2) with paper matching forms, 3) takes 5-7 days for AADSAS to process 4) on top of the 4-6 weeks of AADSAS transcript processing? Seems like the only bonus to using interfolio is that you can re-apply next year without the same hassle? Correct me if I'm wrong please. I'd like to know what the best method for sending LORs is. Is interfolio faster or slower than just using the AADSAS portal?

By the way, I'm still extremely unclear as to what the Matching Forms are?

the matching form is an aadsas form that has to be issued to your school's registrar. the registrar has to send the form with your transcript. the form has stuff like your name, aadsas number, school attended, etc. but more importantly, it has a bar code on the top of the sheet that is unique to your application. that bar code helps to expedite processing of your transcript(s)

and it's available on june 3rd, so you have to wait until the 3rd to request transcripts from your school

and to the OP: not sure about interfolio, but if you wait until june 3rd they have all of the instructions spelled out for you on the portal.

Thanks for the reply. So the matching form is for transcripts and LORs? If I have 3 LORs, and 3 different schools that have my transcripts, that means I'll need to send out 6 Matching forms?

the matching forms are for transcripts only. so since you attended 3 schools you would have 3 matching forms.

if you wanted to submit LORs without a committee, you would have professors submit it electronically (easiest way--you just enter an email address and aadsas sends them instructions), or you have them fill out some kind of a form and they can submit the form via standard mail

again, if you wait until june 3rd everything is spelled out for you on the aadsas site

If you are a Texas resident, don't you have to apply through TMDSAS?

wait if I'm not a texas resident, how would I apply? through AADSAS?

TMDSAS is only for Texas residents. If you're not a Texas resident, then yes, you have to wait until June 3rd and use AADSAS to apply to the Texas schools as well.

I feel as if a simple google/SDN search would answer most, if not all, of your questions. A little initiative on your part would go a long way.

is that so?

You have the 3 LOR ready to go on interfolio... You will fill out the matching forms on June 3 either using a computer program or filling out by hand and scanning it. You upload the matching forms onto interfolio. Then you just submit the 6 total documents to AADSAS.

This is the answer to most questions on this thread. I was confused myself til I did some digging around on this forum, and this is basically the way to do it

my question is specifically WHERE on the interfolio site can I update the matching forms. Is there a button next to every letter that says "hey you, right here! upload your matching forms here bro"?

Cuz I'm going through interfolio right now and I can't seem to fond anything related to uploading documents and ATTACHING them onto the letters

you don't attach them to anything. can't you just UPLOAD documents? there is definitely a button to upload documents into your account if i remember correctly. then you can choose what kind of document it is and upload it.

There is, it's "Upload a Document" option once you log in. Then when you have all documents uploaded I believe you choose "Start a Delivery" then select all LoR with matching forms then send to AADSAS.

Just one thing, do you know if the matching forms have to be signed by the profs who wrote the recommendation letter(s)? I think one of them may have gone on vacation because I haven't gotten a reply from him since he uploaded the ref letter...

I don't remember getting a signature on the transcript matching form. I don't think it has anything to do with the professor or LOR writers... Just the school info.
