For interfolio do you have to pay the $19 to use the service? I'm having trouble adding a letter writer/requesting letters.

You have to pay to use it for your letters.

It's only free if you are WRITING a letter for someone else who is using Interfolio (aka some1 who is paying.)

This is true. Applying to medical school is not cheap. It would be nice if Interfolio was free, but then they wouldn't make any money for offering you a service. If you're not the one directly sending schools your info, expect to pay a fee.

The $19 is for one year. You can always cancel the service after the year. Of course, you'll probably want it back once you're applying for residencies. 🙂
