So I recently created an interfolio account to store my LORs on there and will soon be asking for my first LOR. I'm not 100% sure on the process and what instructions to give my letter writer.

First should I get my letter writers e-mail so I can input that into interfolio for a recommendation request?

Then what after I submit a recommendation request via interfolio? Do they send my letter writer something once I submit a recommendation request with their e-mail?

Should I create a set of instructions for the letter writer? If so, what should the instructions be like since I am not too familiar with the process?

When asking for a rec letter, I would def ask for a paper copy which is the norm. (get multiple copies if possible)
Then go buy an envelope, put down the Interfolio address, post-stamp it, print the Interfolio reques paper detailing who the writer is, their info (address, phone number) and put it inside the envelope.
Then just give that to your letter writer, and they can mail it themselves, or you can mail the sealed package.

When I was applying last year, I did not like the online procedures too much. Just mailing it is much easier for you and the writer. After Interfolio gets the letters, they can then mail it to AADSAS.
Hope this helps!

I just would feel more comfortable with online because it would be a faster process and the main reason I am using interfolio is the ability to store them if I need them again rather than asking the letter writer again.

If someone could answer this though that would be great: When submitting a recommendation request on interfolio, will the letter writer receive something in their e-mail from interfolio?

For giving them instructions, would something along the lines of having to create a letter writer account, and follow the instructions on interfolio to submit a letter work?

Here you go baby girl. This type of question is more related to the service then to SDN though...
