Just going to pay for a 1 year subscription. Does it matter when I sign up? $20 a year + the $6 fee per school is worth it right?

No. As long as you can use interfolio during the app process.

Yes, it is well worth the $20. I even submitted my letters electronically to a couple schools. That gets them there the next day.
