I have a question regarding interfolio
I was wondering...should I use it?!

Obviously, I want to get accepted for the 2013 cycle BUT for whatever reason I don't, asking some of the same people for the LORs might be annoying.
So if I use interfolio, I ask those who are writing me an LOR to send it to Interfolio and I can use it this year and also next year, correct?
But what if those writing me the LOR are not comfortable with it? Thinking someone I can change the content and stuff. I don't want to give them any negative image.

For those who have used this in the past, can you give me some pros and cons about it? thanks

you require more minerals

I used it when I was applying during 2012 cycle, all of my professors were totally fine with it, they all knew about it, and there is no possible way you could change submitted LORs in interfolio. I didn't get in in 2012 so used the same letters through interfolio for this cycle and it has just worked fine (because I got in this year, and my secret was..... I used interfolio!!!...lol). and, yes u can use it this year and until whenever u want as long as you update your yearly subscription... 20 bucks.

wait, so do I have to tell them not to include a date?
looks kinda bad to the schools if I am using a letter that states that it is from a year ago...

I don't mean to jack your thread, but I also was wondering about Interfolio. Does it mean that by using Interfolio you don't waive your access to the letters? Meaning if you use Interfolio can you yourself actually see what the professor wrote in the letter or can you keep it where you don't see it? I'm trying to keep it so that I can waive my right of access since I think schools look upon it more favorably...
Thanks

I'm a bit curious about this "interfolio" as well. 😀

You have the option to request confidential or non-confidential recommendations from your professors. if you choose confidential (which they also recommend), you check a box to signify that you waive rights to view the letter of recommendation they upload. You can see that it's stored in your account, but can't actually read it.

Thank you very much! 🙂
