Hi all,
I'm just curious if anyone has ever received a question like "Have you received any interview invitation(s) from other school(s)?" I just thought of it and wonder if it happened, how did you answer? I thought of telling them "yes, I did, but not in 2 weeks, so I really hope it would work out with your school since you're my top choice". Would that work? Thanks

A few of my school applications asked that question. I only listed the schools that I felt wouldn't make me look bad at the interview. It's not like they can verify your choices.

Thanks MathDebate. I was wondering if this was brought up in an interview, should I tell them that I do have some invitations or just say no, you're the only one I applied to?

UCSD asked:

How many schools did you apply to?
Me: 7
UCSD: Did you get interviews at any other schools?
Me: Yes
UCSD: Which ones?
Me: All of them!😳
UCSD: Wow, somebody must really want you to get into pharmacy school. Congratulations!

I think it makes you seem more competitive but yeah, you need to show real interest in the school interviewing you.

At my UT-Austin interview, when I was asked what I would do if I didn't get in, I straight up told him I've already been accepted to OU. UT is my first choice, but OU is a good program too and I'd be happy to go there if UT doesn't want me. The guy complimented me for being honest. I mean really... they know most of us keep our options open. Don't lie.

I even had a school ask me what school would be my top choice, and I told them (not their school). They respected the honesty and I was accepted a week after the interview.

Don't put their school on a pedestal because you think it's what they want to hear. They are asking you these questions because they want an actual, honest answer. Definitely don't lie to them about it either. If they want you at their school, you will get in.
