Does anyone know anything about how to obtain an intern license? For example, should we do it before we start pharm school, how long does it take to get it, any requirements, etc.?
Sorry if this post already exists but I am too lazy to search....
You have to be a current pharmacy student. Also, different states require different things so check your state's board of pharmacy website. You can always ask a professor at your school.
You need to be maltriculated into pharmacy school in order to obtain an intern license. You cannot just apply to or intend to attend pharmacy school to get one. Once, you got accepted and start pharmacy school, the school will set up everything for you to get your intern license.

I fillled out the intern license application during the orientation. The school had ppl come in and take our fingerprints and info. About 2 weeks later, I got the license in the mail
It depends on the state; some say you can get your intern license after having formally being accepted to a program while other states, such as Ohio, require you to have already begun taking professional phase classes.
