i wonder is obtaining an intern license necessary? i will be a grad intern soon n wonder if i can reciprocate my intern license from another state to DC. or if its even necessary? i been working as an intern for years without anyone bothering me about it though i think its required.

The intern license is required for your intern hours to count in most states. It is also important in case an inspector comes to your pharmacy. I don't know the importance beyond that.

Also, most state BOPs can fine you for working without a license and your store/pharmacy can be put on probation. There is no reciprocation for intern licenses that I know of
