I am a RN who wants to go back to school either for dentistry or physician (internal medicine). I want to know how much is malpractice per year for IM doctors in Nevada Las Vegas?

1. Way too early to worry about this. I'm going to guess that you haven't even taken the MCAT or DAT yet (since you're still not sure about MD or DMD). You've got a minimum of 8 years then before you conceivably have to worry about this. Whatever the answer is now will be dramatically diffrent in 8 years.

2. There is no single answer. It will be determined by practice type, volume and provider (among other things). As above, any answer you get will be meaningless to your specific situation...assuming you get into med school, graduate, decide to go into IM, and then decide to practice in Vegas.

3. NV has a pretty good malpractice climate so it will be cheaper in Vegas than LA.

First off, I know that I need to take the required pre-reqs for med or dental school, mcat/DAT and etc.. So why are u educating me with the process of becoming a doctor? Anywho, I know malpractice rates change but I just wanted to know the average rates go for now just to see... Is that wrong to ask so soon? You number 3 answer would of done just fine.

If you're so smart, why did you need to ask the question in the first place?

Actually, there is a simple answer. If the OP had asked about the price of malpractice for IM in MS, I could have given her the price (within a small range) for a typical internist. Unfortunately, OP, I don't have the info for NV/Vegas
