Applying for residency programs in the United States is a costly affair both in terms of time and money. Each residency program has their own set of complex criteria and minimum requirements. While some residencies are IMG Friendly, others may not even accept applications from IMG's. Some US residency programs sponsor both J-1 and H-1b while others require a Green card or Citizenship. One year wasted waiting for residency is worth 150K.
