I'm a senior biology student in Hong Kong. I've been to exchange in US and really got interests in PT field. I'm now taking the pre-request courses and doing the volunteer job. However my GPA sucks and makes it hard to be admitted in DPT. I heart PTA has lower admission requirements but not sure about their requirments and whether they accept international applicants. So wondering if anyone knows information regarding to my situation. Many thanks!

Check these pages out from APTA and PTCAS about the requirements for PTAs.

http://www.ptcas.org/checklist.html

Also, take a look at this ONE school that has a PTA program. This would be an example of the requirements for international students.

Keep in mind that many of these programs accept international applicants. However, they will need to do a class by class evaluation of your transcript to ensure eligibility. Also, many school require you to have your visa.

Decide which state in which you would like to study and look through all the different programs on this page for the program's information:

Best of luck!

***this would be more appropriate in the Pre-PT boards.
