Try University of Rochester. But let me advice you, its very tough, and I mean VERY tough to get in. The total number of seats is 8, if my memory serves me right.

Agree with BegottedBDS...they may call you for an interview even without part1, but getting in is very very hard.

My Qn is -- after AEGD at Rochester, will that dentist be able to practice in any other state, outside NY.. Can a AEGD dentist own a dental office , and practice like a DDS dentist in the community.. What are the limitations of a AEGD dentist (esplly for foreign dentists without a DDS degree) ?

Dude, if I get the license of NY state and practice as an associate for 5 years there without even thinking of 350K student loans...I'd be more than happy. After 5 yrs I can transfer the License to any state of my choice. But then, in 5 years, most probably I'd be owning a practice and forget about leaving NY.....hope u got my point !!!

Thankx much Buddy... had I known this before, I'd have spent my money on AEGD rather on these applications.. 😡.... +pity+

I spoke to some one from Rochester and actually you will have to complete one more year in order to be able to apply for a license NY state requires any International Dentist to complete 3 years at any program.

Hi, I want to ask after AEGD in Rochester, is it fine if I move to other States to get license and practice there? Or I must get license in NY? Thanks!

Hey,, you may be able to practice in a few states after an AEGD, go to the state dental board website and look for rules and regulations, or you may even find a short description in "FAQs" for international dentists. VA is an example I am aware of.
