I am an IMG who is planning to go for Emergency Medicine...I was told that EM is competitive and needs good LORs, but I have only 2 months available to spend at the US before graduation, and I know that minimum 3 SLOEs are required in the ERAS application...does it matter if I get a LOR from an american boarded physician who works at my country (in the middle east)? Or I should rely on the 2 SLOEs I will get when I rotate in the US next year?

The number of LORs you get depends on how active you are and what service you're rotating through. I've done a few months and managed to secure 4 LOR that I feel will be fairly positive. It just depends on how long you rotate with each physician and what sort of policy they have.

Thank you Ronin!
But does that mean that I can get more than 1 SLOE or LOR in 1 month?
