Traditionally, USA not been very active in exporting as home market so large. US companies abroad tend to employ cheaper locals and just have the boss as an American. I never once met a sales rep from USA while working around the Caribbean. History is responsible as UK, France, Holland etc still tend to export to old colonies.
There has also been the trend to production being transferred to cheaper areas. Ireland has large pharma industry as is English speaking and convenient for exports to Europe.
UK pharma production has mainly been transferred to South Africa, India and Eastern Europe.
Best bet would be to contact overseas based companies exporting to US.
