international student asking for help

Hello everybody

I have a pretty embarrassing question.
I am an international PhD student. I also acquired my bachelor's and master's degrees outside North America.
I want to apply for the MD program in US in the future, however, most of the med schools require a title from US.
My undergrad GPA is not bad but is also not perfect.

My question is - should I apply for Postbac Premed Program or a master's degree?

I will have a PhD in a near future and I am worried that Postbac Premed Program is a waste of time (I am not so young anymore so time is important for me).
On the other hand, maybe because of my not so perfect GPA Postbac Premed Program would be better?

Does Postbac Premed Program cover all the requirements for a med school?
How does it look with GPA? Is this program enough? GPA from that is equal to undergrad GPA? Can I transfer some of the grades from my country?

Sorry for my lack of knowledge but I really don't know what is the best option for me, and the education system is very different in my country, so a lot of things are confusing.

Why not go to medical school in your home country?
