International student wanting to appear for NDBE-1

I am an international student having done my bachelors in Dentistry in India. I wanted to appear for NBDE part 1 this May-2013. I checked http://www.ada.org/dat.aspx and saw that there is some kind of outage for 3 weeks.

So does that mean I will not get my Dentpin until April 3, 2013 when outage completes? And if we add the processing time they will take, which is close to 5-7 business days, I dont see getting anything until April 10th, 2013.

From my understanding, the first step to appearing for NBDE is acquiring a DENTPIN and if that itself will take so long then I seriously doubt if I will be able to take the exam in May. Online it says that we should take a date atleast 60-90 days in advance to ensure that we get a date, we desire.

Please correct me, advice me if any of my above understanding is wrong.

As far i know about NDBE ,befr giving ndbe part 1 exam,we need to clear fundamental knowledge assessement program which is held only once in a year..🙂
