Hey guys I'm expecting to stay at the Sydney University Village and I'm just wondering what internet service providers are available in Sydney?

What would be equivalent to Rogers cable that we have in Toronto and how much is one expecting to pay per month.

I heard someone say there is no such thing as unlimited dowloads over there as we have here so whats that all about?

ps. is it true you can't download music in Australia? (no limewire, no kazaa etc)

There are tons of providers. R u going for cable or DSL???
Go for telstraclear cable or OptusNet. Mos reliable.

Yes, u get 5gb,10gb and 20gb download limits.
Speed varies, all depends on yor plans.

DSL ranges from $29-$99 per mnth

Thanks for the reply farqueue,

I believe telstraclear is available in NZ so I'll most probably look into OptusNet.
