Internship GPA

I am starting to compile a list of internships that I would like to attend this upcoming summer. I have noticed that some of the schools require both the cumulative and major GPAs. By major, does it mean just courses required for my biology major (i.e. gen bio, genetics etc.)? Or those courses and support courses required by my major as well (i.e. gen chem, physics)?
